No-Bypass Brewing

No-bypass brewing has long-been established as a preferred method amongst coffee aficionados. The RoadRunner turbocharges no-bypass with precise user-controlled vacuum pressure, giving you control of extraction while allowing for much finer grinding than typical pour-overs. We have our own recipes, as well as recipes from several industry-leading coffee professionals we have worked with over the years.

Key Features

Pod Filtration

The Pod holds the grounds before brewing, and contains the vacuum-creating gasket to help extract your coffee. The vacuum allows you to grind much finer than typical pour-over for high extraction yields, and the paper filter guarantees extreme clarity.

Clever Agitation

Hold the crown and perform a couple of up & down plunges to fully agitate your coffee.

Think French Pull, not French Press

Looks can be deceiving. The similarity with French Press ends at the shape of the carafe, as the RoadRunner allows for much finer grinding, superior filtration, and no bitter coffee dwelling in the carafe once the brew has finished.

Clean, Durable Materials

New to the RoadRunner: three integrated bean cellars, each designed to hold up to 30 g of whole-bean or pre-ground coffee . They store inside the carafe and seal with the same one-way freshness valves as our Bean Cellars, keeping your doses organized for the road.

A compact footprint on any counter (or camp table), with a foldable handle that packs down cleanly - easy to stow, easy to grip, and never in the way. The RoadRunner also ships with a dedicated travel sleeve.

Pod Prep

Prepare the brew pod using the stainless filter, additional paper filter optional. Use the brewing arm to carefully push the brew pod to bottom of the carafe. Do not prewet paper.

Grind & Dose

Grind 20-35g fresh coffee and dose into brewer, adding 300-400mL of preheated brewing water on top.

Agitate & Wait

Use the brewing arm to agitate the coffee and water evenly. Let sit for as long (or short) as your recipe calls for.

Vacuum Filter

After brew time is up, rotate the Wingnut, which raises the Drive Shaft, and pulls up the Pod. This creates a vacuum beneath the Pod, separating the grounds from the coffee, leaving you with a perfectly filtered cup.

Set the brew pod aside and enjoy your coffee. Rinse all parts...

Maintenance and Cleaning

We believe that a good product is a clean product, and designing them to be easy to clean is fundamental to improving the quality of your coffee and the hygiene of your countertop.

The RoadRunner parts can all be disassembled and rinsed clean in a matter of seconds.

Please use only soap and mild dish detergent with the RoadRunner. As a precision instrument, it is not dishwasher safe.
