Overview

A 58mm, 150 micron mesh, 2mm thick Stainless 316 Puck Screen. Use it to keep your dispersion screen clean, to reduce puck top erosion that can lead to channeling, or just to reduce above-puck clearance when fine tuning your dosage.

Why a puck screen?

Puck screens have developed a big following the past few years, and for good reason. They can help to buffer higher velocity water coming out of a group head dispersion screen, which has a tendency to erode the top of a puck and potentially induce channeling. They are great at acting as a sacrificial layer to keep your dispersion screen cleaner.

Materials

Stainless 316 marine grade 150um mesh, fused together at 2.0mm thick.

How to clean

Rinse under water immediately after use to clean. A follow-up with a steam wand spray helps remove finer particles from inside the mesh. A periodic soak with Cafiza or other coffee specific cleaner is highly effective at keeping them extra clean.

Compatibility

Compatible with all standard 58mm portafilters or the Weber Workshops Unifilter.
